USB Headset causing Micro stuttering

My Cloud II headset, when connected via my front panel USB, is causing stuttering during R6 Siege and DotA 2. Both of these games run fine without the headset but as soon as I plug it in, I start getting these intermittent mini-freezes/microstutter about once a minute that stop all action for a solid second or so.

I have tested it a few times and it is definitely my Cloud IIs causing this. I have made sure my USB hub drivers are up to date etc...

The only thing I have not tried is plugging the headset into the rear motherboard IO but I would rather not have to do this with my headset.

Any ideas what is going on? It is driving me crazy

That is weird, I'm also experiencing the same stuttering (at least according to your description) and I too have a USB Cloud II, how in the world did you even think about checking usb headset as the cause ? I might have to check it aswell.
