After the drivers are installed , right click on the little speaker in the system tray in the bottom right of your screen, then go to Sound Settings and make sure the output and input is correctly set to the headset.
It may just used a defualt Windows one. Just let it install whatever driver if it needs to then follow my other step of making sure it is selected as the output device for sound.
Ok then give the fact this is a 20 dollar headset you could have just gotten a broken one. I would send it back for a replacement or IMO spend 15 or so dollars more and get the Logitech G430
