Has something changed? or is it just me?
In the past, when I connected my iPhone to my PC with a USB cable, I am pretty sure I got the "USB item connected" icon in the systray, so when I was finish, I could right click on the icon.. tell it to Eject.. and all would be well.
These days, that does not seem to happen any more.. I dont get the USB icon in the systray, so when I finish and just rip out the USB or iPhone I get an error alert to say a device is no longer responding or has been disconnected.
That just seems messy/bad... I assumed it a bug and would be fixed, but its been going on for many months now.
So why dont I get the USB Icon any more? I still seem to get it when I connect a USB memory stick... or USB hard drive, just not my iPhone.
May be I should go into setting and devices and... and eject it there... but it seems like a PITA considering how easy it was before.. and as I say.. other devices still seem to work in the way expected.
Do I need to change/config something?
Thanks in advance for any insight/sage advice.
Cheers
