USB Keyboard and Mouse not working after driver update

Usb doesn't work after Driver update. I've done a fresh install on a new motherboard ( Asus z87 sabertooth) and ever since installing the motherboard drivers for USB, my mouse and keyboard stopped working.

You mentioned it was a fresh install, did you install the drivers for the keyboard an mouse if they have any specific ones on a disk? (Might not be plug an play).

Can I ask how you updated? If from drivers you downloaded from the motherboard site that could be an issue. It's not always perfectly clear what drivers are for what when motherboards have several revisions. I nearly always use my motherboard disc even though the site might have new stuff. If the old works fine why update. Also if the drivers MS installs during initial installation work, then leave it be and you should be good to go. And finally never, and I mean never, use drivers offered on the MS update site, I have had problems with them every time so I usually created a backup before I tried.

I use a Steelseries Apex Keyboard, i don't believe it requires any software. Also i use a zowie EC2 Evo which also doesn't require any software.

Well upon boot up from a fresh install, i just googled my motherboard and downloaded the drivers for it. I don't have a disk for this motherboard, which is why i resorted to the website.
