Hey guys,I have a Coolmaster Quickfire Keyboard (product number SGK-4000-GKCC1-UK).

My Windows 7 64 bit PC just will not recognise it or automatically apply the P&P drivers to it. I've tried to apply the drivers to it manually, the standard Ps/2 microsoft keyboard drivers as well, it just seems to reject it outright.

I had this problem before and I think I fixed it with a system restore, I lack that luxury currently.

The odd thing is that the Keyboard is recognised/usable instantly on my Laptop and other devices.

Does this suggest Motherboard issues instead? I've updated the chipsets and bus controllers, is there anything else I should consider?

Any help would be greatly appreciated guys.

Solution
Does the keyboard work to enter, and navigate the BIOS? I have come across many issues using newer mechanical keyboards that required a BIOS update to correct. Heck my current keyboard caused the CMOS to be cleared, and my PC to fail to boot until I update the BIOS. (The CMOS was due to multiple failures to boot, the motherboard resets the CMOS in case your OC settings did not work)

Unhelpful but...
Ha, made me chuckle.
Well, not really, smile slightly and blow amused air out of my nose.

Yeah, I just checked and I'm into the BIOS now, it's also navigable with the keyboard.

While not a direct solution, my Keyboard seems to have worked after looking into the BIOS and enabling a few things relating to USB.

Anyone reading this and having similar problems to me, wish I could be more specific but I can't.
