USB mic way too sensitive

I have recently bought the samson c01U mic and it seems great but it is way to sensitive, it picks up everything from my mouse clicks to noises downstairs. When I go ionto the recordings tab and then onto the mic properties there is no "mic boot" under the levels tab, only volume. The volume doesnt help sensitivity so I am a bit stuck. I cant find a way to lower the sensitivity of my mic
