My friends were kind enough to get me a mic for my birthday, it's a Tonor Q9 USB Microphone. I plug it into my laptop and it works fine (some static, not sure if related to this) and all until randomly it starts buzzing quite a bit and I have to touch the lower half of the mic with 2 fingers to make it stop, which works half the time.
I can sort of replicate the buzzing when if I touch the grill. Buzzing gets slightly quieter when touching the laptop. It gets stronger if I have my foot on the ground while touching the grill. Still got it even when holding the mic.
I've tried another cable already (USB Type A → B) and it didn't work. Downloading latest Realtek drivers didn't work as well, now currently on the manufacturer's version and still no luck. Also buzzes momentarily when clicking on the volume rocker.
I tried it on another laptop and I had similar issues with the volume rocker and when touching the grill but I wasn't able to test it for long. Any ideas? Thanks in advance
