Usb microphone on lan party?

So the thing is i have blue snowball usb mic and next month im going to lan party and i was wondering does the usb mic take all voices and music from the lan party or do i need to buy headset mic? Sorry for bad english

your mic will pic up noise around you, you can just plug in headphones to eliminate your system sound from being picked up but if people around you are being too loud there's nothing you can really do. Why do you need a mic to communicated at a lan party anyways? Can'y you just talk in person?
