I have a Biostar A760G M2+. I know it's old; but, so am I. On a reboot, the mouse will work for only a short time. I cannot even get it up long enough to see if it is the drivers. I have noticed, while trying to reinstall Windows Vista, that the keyboard will go, too. The Windows Vista disk doesn't get far enough for me to do a repair and, currently, will not boot. On boot up, the bios says that there is a usb mouse and usb keyboard.

I have removed and tested all the drives, (they're fine), have used 3 mice on it, with the same drop out result, reset the bios, and nothing helps me at all. There are 4 back usb ports and 2 front usb ports, all giving me the same problem.

As a result, I am tending to think that the motherboard may be gone. I'd like to know what other ideas may be out there. If the motherboard is gone, what is a decent one that I will be able to use my socket A2+ processor, and not have to upgrade to USB 3.0 or buy new memory? I know, everyone faces this problem at one time or another, I just don't want to face it now. Looking for an easy way out. Had hoped this old dinosaur would go to the grave with me.

Thanks for any advice.
