USB mouse not working

USB mouse not working,PC has three users plus guest login so without mouse I cannot access login to get to control panel. Can open in safemode but have the same problem with login. PC is running XP home, mouse works on other PC

I cant understand what is the use of mouse during login,you can select users with Tab button or arrows button too.

Thank you for our reply, the problem might be bigger. The tab or arrow buttons do not have any effect. The arrow buttons work if I go to the BIOS CMOS set up screen to navigate through the options there but not on the login screen

Just pull out your hard disk & connect it with your frndz pc & plug it into your frndz Pc's IDE/SATA(whatever it is) port and connect it with power & remove the password or user profile

Try different mouse on your computer
May be this is a driver problem but the problem is you cant repair this way without login.
Try to boot your system through ubuntu cd.

Thank you again, I will try connecting the hard drive to another computer and removing the user profile, sounds like that might work for me.
