usb over cat6

i have a cat6 thats running in my walls .
it goes to about 10m-15m and 1 of the cat 6 cable pair is used for a land line .
i want to have a usb 2.0 extention but i odnt know if it has to be powerd or i have to use a hub
i thoght i could just conect the 2 data lines to 2 of the pairs and have a external 5v to power the usb. but i dont know if that would work.

sure you can use cat6 to extend USb, you need adaptors like this
