Question USB over current

So I finally put my build together but every time I boot I get "USB over current detected" I have un plugged everything except the cpu and gpu power but I keep getting that message.



Ontop of that I can't run 2 ram sticks it will only boot with 1



Motherboard Asus rog strix b450f

CPU ryzen 7 2700 with a 2700x cooler

Ram tridentz rgb 16 gb (2x8)

What are full system specs including PSU make and model.

Have you checked the insides of USB ports for bent pins or possible metal debris? Also check and reseat USB headers if you had connected them to front case ports for debris and bent pins and such.

Can you check with other RAM modules to see if they work?

It might be a faulty motherboard.

I used each ram in one slot and they both work , just not together and I will check all USB ports again but I did once already

Are you using the stock cooler that came with the CPU?

Both RAM modules work in a single slot or you tested them one by one in other slots too?

Can you check with other RAM modules, borrowed perhaps from a friend, family?

I am using a friend's cpu cooler it's from his ryzen 7 2700x

I tested both ram in 1 slot

And I could try find some ram
