Usb plugs not working

Hi, I have 8 usb plugs on my pc, 4 of them don't work, two in the front and two in the back. I don't know how to fix it, I tried uninstalling in the device manager, tried to update drivers.. but still not working. What could be the problem?

Did you just build this? if you did, did you put standoffs in the case?

No, I bought it from someone who build it, it worked fine for about 6 months. All 4 that dont work are 3.0, the 4 that do work are 2.0

Did you install any Acronis programs, or backup programs? Because some of them, can add their own drivers to the registry

And this can block or stop USB ports from working

Where are the USB 3 ports? 2 at the front 2 at the back?

Normally cases have 2-3 on the front, not 8. Look to see if they need to be powered off a usb header at the bottom of the motherboard.

2 at the front and 2 at the back. A friend tried to plug her phone and couldnt, so she did somthing in the device manager, but I dont know what.. and I dont know the programs you said.

Scan for new hardware in device manager. Hopefully when you uninstalled it in device manager you didnt delete the drivers as well

I scaed, nothing came up, if I did delet it what can I do?

Which motherboard is it or prebuilt PC? Make and model?

Install the chipset drivers and the USB3.0 drivers from the website of the motherboard/prebuilt manufacturer

How did you test the USB3.0 ports? Just with this phone or with e.g. your keyboard as well?

The motherboard is g1 sniper m3

I tried plugging a few things, keyboard as well

Do you have an open usb pinslot on your motherboard either 3.0 or 2.0?

What does it mean open? Working? I have 4 slots that are working, all 2.0. Other 4 are 3.0 and not working

use the intel update utility to install the Intel USB3.0 driver or try to use the driver from this site:

USB port where the phone was plugged in is still ok physically? No bent pins or something between the pins inside the port?

reset the BIOS by jumper, maybe you will have to set the boot priority correctly in BIOS afterwards.

I still like the idea of getting a pcie add-in usb expansion card. It'll force the system to download some usb controller drivers.

That's a good idea, I forgot about windows restore.

I cant restore, It was a few months ago and i dont know when exectly..

then set one restore point right now and try some restore points you have stored over time

try ubuntu installed on an USB flash drive and boot from it, do the 3.0 ports work there?

I installed and scaned, it says "no drivers were detected for your product"
