USB port metal piece

Hey everyone I was taking apart my laptop and the metal piece that covers the back of the USB port broke off is this an important part of the USB port and if so should I try to super glue it back on or just remove the USB port?

no it is not important, as long as none of the pins on that plastic/metal thing in the middle is broken you'll be just fine.

Also, in general, super glue won't fix electronics since it is not a conductor.
