So the Left USB ports on my PC seem really loose, as the connector for the mouse has to be slightly of centre (pulled towards me) to actually work or the mouse loses all power, also the Ext HDD makes the connected noise but fails to read on the 2 ports. Everything I plug into the ports seems the have power fluctuations or total loss till I fiddle and find that sweet spot Everything works fine in the 3rd, right side port though.
Any ideas into fixing this would be appreciated.
Thanks

Often these ports will just be soldered onto the motherboard. Solder is primary tin and not that strong. If the connections gets loose and make poor contact you get the symptoms you describe.

If you can find someone who is good at soldering, then this can probably be fixed. A new motherboard might cost less. If the port is actually on a daughter board (not the main board), then replacement would be far cheaper.
