[SOLVED] USB Port suddenly dead

I have a dell desktop and one of usb ports at the back of the tower has stopped working. I had the keyboard usb plugged in that port for over a year and it suddenly just died while I was using the keyboard. I plugged the keyboard into another usb port and it's working again.

Is there anyway to fix the dead port? or do I have to manually open up the tower to replace the ports?

They are comonly fixed. Either corrosion (green substance) or conector become wobbly.
Type in start device manager, open it
on bottom should be usb devices right click and check on (i mean uncheck it)power managment that its not set to suspend power when not used.
