Before I did a windows reinstall two days ago, I had four working USB ports out of the eight on my computer. Now that I reinstalled windows 7, I only have 3 working USB ports, in completely different locations then the last time.

The Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controllers say that there are no drivers installed, and Update Driver can't find anything. How can I fix this problem? Honestly, all eight should work, but I only have three.

Solution

No need to go that deep!!! Just download any driver manager like iobit driver booster, aso, etc then scan drivers then install.

I have a Gigabyte motherboard, but the System Model is not filled out under System Information. Is there another way to find this information?

Try uninstalling all usb drivers, unplug all usb devices then restart your system. It must automaticall detect it.Or else check in bios if any port is disabled and also check your usb device for defects.
