Hi, I have an ASUS H81M-plus mobo and when ever I turn my pc off my mouse light stays on and this can get really annoying, how do I turn it off? There is no setting In the bios but there is jumpers on the board what do I need to do? Thank you :)

Make sure the mouse is plugged into the usb2.0 port at the very top rear slots. Those 2 slots are intended for mouse/kb and do actually turn off. Other slots are settable in Windows and software like Asus charger, but generally are set to remain active as these are used by the pc to actually turn on the pc during certain events.

Once you get into your bios, you'll have to just look at everything, every tab. You'll come across a tab for the USB. Sorry but bios is different with each motherboard, so specifics are hard. On my Asus board it's under advanced - USB configuration. What it does is allow for USB to wake/turn on the pc. You'll be looking for the switch where your mouse is listed as a USB to do that. Set it to disable or remove the mouse from that listing. In order to turn on the pc, the port has to remain active/on so the mouse stays on.
