USB ports randomly shut down, requiring hard reboot

I’ve been having this issue for a while now. It first started with my mouse, every 5-10 minutes it would disconnect, reconnect, glitch, stutter, then eventually it would shut down and I would have to unplug and plug it back in. That was a month ago. Now, sometimes 5 minutes after boot up, sometimes an hour, in no pattern it seems, whether I’m typing on a doc or playing a game, all USB ports will either completelely shut down, or the lights on my keyboard, mouse, and headset will flicker on and off. They will not work, even after unplugging and plugging back in, until I hold the power button for 5 seconds and do a hard reboot.

I’ve tried many things:
-changing power settings in device manager for all usb hubs, to not allow the computer to automatically shut them off
-changed power settings in control panel disabling usb root hub somethin or other
-full virus scans
-updated windows
-uninstalled the usb root hubs and booted computer
-updated root hub drivers
-slamming mouse on desk (my own strategy)
-even using the mouse while plugged into the keyboard

I’ve looked far and wide and not many people have this same problem. Anything will help. I’m at my wits end with this computer, but I got friends that wanna play fortnite so I have to fix it.

Keyboard- Corsair strafe rgb
Mouse - razer mamba te
GeForce gtx 970

-Repeat the above steps to uninstall all items under Universal Serial Bus controllers.
-Reboot your computer, and Windows 7, 8 & 10 will reinstall all USB controllers automatically.

Also you could download and install the chipset drivers from the computer manufacturer’s website.
