i hope someone can help me figure this out. everything i plug into a usb port works fine until i touch it. it seems like it is grounding out through me and causing whatever is plugged in to crash. i have to use a bluetooth mouse and keyboard just to even use my computer. it has done this on a usb mouse, usb keyboard, usb headset. you can watch the headset get recognized and start working and once i put it on my head it acts like i unplugged it, then i take it off and it comes back.
thanks in advance

Here are some questions that will help us make a recommendation:
1. What case are you using?
2. Is the case new, or is it a case that you've been using that has a new problem?
3. Is it all of the USB ports or just one?
4. How comfortable are you with replacing connectors/connector pins and/or disassembling computer components in general?

It sounds like the problem is either the connector is grounding on the case somewhere around the I/O port or there is a loose wire or pin in the connector itself. The simplest thing to do is return the case on warranty. The alternative is to take the offending area apart and try to eliminate the fault.
