I have been having issues with my usb ports whenever i plug anything in and it says there is a power surge. I have ran hardware scans and my motherboard failed the usb test. I have contacted a support agent at Lenovo and they couldn't find what it was. I have upgraded my GPU and PSU and it started a couple weeks after that so im not sure if that is why. My GPU is a gtx 1060 and the PSU is a 600w thermaltake.

This is my computer:

Solution
disconnect the front usb connectors from the motherboard and check the usb ports on the back of the machine... There might be a problem with the psu, but i hardly doubt it as then it would had turned itself off to protect the system... i guess its your motherboard or just the front panel i/o headers
