I WAS PLANNING ON BUILDING MY OWN COOLING SYSTEM FOR MY TV STAND. MY PLAN IS TO POWER 6 120mm FANS.. NOW MY PLAN IS TO HAVE THE FANS POWERED BY 2 USB PORT ON MY TELEVISION. IS THIS POSSIBLE? CAN THE 2 USB PORTS PRODUCE ENOUGH POWER TO POWER THE FANS? WILL IT DAMAGE MY TELEVISION AT ALL? REASON I WANT IT TO BE POWERED BY THE TELEVISION IS, IT WOULD BE NICE TO TURN ON THE TV AND HAVE THE FANS TURN ON AUTOMATICALLY.

No its not recommended to do it that way....You will overload the USB port. USB port is limited to 100MA if I'm not mistaken.

USB/2 Ports are not meant to be power supplies for big loads.

It may potentially damage the circuitry of the TV related to the USB.

On notebooks or PC with overloaded USB/2 ports...It normally crash the computer or go to force reset until the overload condition is removed.

Not only that. Fans require 12 volts. USB outputs 5 volts.

Get something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882259003 and plug a 12V adapter into the controlled outlet, wired to your fans. When you turn the TV on, the fans will switch on. In addition to the adapter, you'll just need some wire and basic splicing and soldering skills.
