USB Problem

My USB ports are acting really strange. Can't figure out what is going on. Only one usb port out of 6 will detect my optical mouse. They will all detect my external hard drive, but for whatever reason I go to plug in the mouse and they won't load. I'm using an ASROCK board. Not sure what the problem is. I'm trying to install a mini keyboard/track pad and it won't detect that at all. Oh and I'm running XP Pro. Any ideas?

Got service pack 3 installed? Just check device manager when you plug in your mouse if it is detected but no drivers can be installed, then it is a driver issue.Probably not compatible and sometimes work,sometimes doesn't because it would be in conflict.

Well it is detected and drivers are there, but it only works on 1 of the USB ports. USB drivers are all there too. It doesn't make sense for all the ports to work with other devices, but not mice.
