the mobo (x470 gaming plus) has 2 usb 2.0 headers, 4 usb 3.0 headers, and 1 usb 3.1 header, and my case (mastercase h500) has only 2 usb 2.0 slots and 2 usb 3.0 slots on the io. Is there a way i can head 3.0 into 2.0? or somehow use the other usb 3.0 headers from inside the case? or if i need to get different case which should i get? (atx, midtower) pleas help im noob

Solution
When you install the motherboard into the H500 case you will have 4 USB type A ports on front panel and 8 USB type A ports on the rear of the case.
This is the motherboard and the ports you will have available on the back of the case.

That motherboard has 8 USB type A ports (2 USB 2.0 and 6 USB 3.1)
So if you get that case (H500) you will have 12 USB ports type A available.
In case you don't know the USB type A are backward compatible.
Just wondering how many USB devices are you planning to connect to your PC?

I am not sure exactly how many but for now i need ~4 at all times and maybe 1-2 extra for plugging in flash drives and connecting to other devices

Also i dont understand what you mean by me having 12 usb ports type a available arent all the headers of the motherboard inside the case?

Ohhh okay, I thought that there would only be the front ports 😛
