I daily record an 1 hour show on my PWR recorder. I usually after viewing to delete it so i could save room on the stick for future shows. zzzzzin windows explorer i open to view the files, highlite each one and choose delete. I get a response if I am sure I want to delete and i say yes and it does whatever it seems that needs to be done and i get a message Folder is empty. The next day I am setting up again to record, thinking the stick is empty, but when i try to view the recent recording i see all t hose files i though were gone. This happens all the time. One dy, disgusted, I tried the Format quick method and still those files show up. I have win 7 that i use mostly, but i also have win 11 pro and i get the same results on that laptop too. Does anyone kow why this is happening on my systems?

Make, model, size USB stick?

On the USB Stick go to one of the files you wish to delete.

Right click and select Properties, then Security.

What permissions do you have?

Take some screenshots and post the screenshots here via imgur (www.imgur.com > New Post).

USB sticks are made up of nand chips that will have a limited number of read/write cycles. If you have been constantly writing and erasing files, perhaps you have run out of available nand blocks. This happens sooner on small capacity sticks.
