Hi guys!

I bought a Asus laptop a few months ago, with windows 8 installed. I wanted to format it so I could have both Windows 7 and Ubuntu, so I tried to create a bootable Windows 7 USB but for some reason, the laptop never started up from the usb. Afterwards, I did the same with an Ubuntu bootable usb, and once again, no results, usb not recognized. Also, I tried with a Linux Mint usb and surprisingly it worked, so now I only have Linux Mint installed.

However I still want Windows 7, so I did again a bootable usb with it, and once again the bios didn't recognize the windows 7 usb (the usb works on other laptops). Also, I had a Windows XP bootable usb (properly working), and when I tried to use it on my laptop, the bios recognized it, but never started up from it.

Any ideas of what's possibly wrong here?
Thanks a lot for your help!
