[SOLVED] USB Storage Gone Bad

Hello,

My Western Digital storage device does not work.
Input/Output something cannot be read. I see
the device in my disk utilities and my document folder but it will not open. Is there a freeware program to fix this problem through my mac.

Hmm... has it ever worked on your mac?

Check to see if the filing system is compatible with Mac OS. If its NTFS I don't think it will work. If there isn't anything on the disk you need just format it as either Mac OS Journ. Extended or Fat 32.

I'm sorry but I don't know about any freeware to fix it. You could of course try plugging it into a PC to see if that works.
