Question USB Switch Recommendations?

After work everyday I have to unplug both my mouse and keyboard to plug into my desktop PC. I've gotten pretty tired of doing this so I am looking for a device that can do this. Generally I do not have my work computer and PC on at the sametime. I would only be using this for a mechanical keyboard and a logitech g402 mouse. Any recommendations?

Are you working from home? Meaning are both the work and home PC's located in the same room? If so, why not look into an aviator cable for your mechanical keyboard whereby you detach from the middle and not from the keyboard end or the back of your desktop/system. I'd be against the idea of connecting and disconnecting a peripheral multiple times since the connector can then incur stress and even bring about connectivity issues. So much so that I'd have looked into a second set of peripherals for work.

Yep, working from home and both computers are at the same desk. I have 2 monitors but I figured I can just switch those using the input button on the monitors. I never heard of the aviator cable hmmm. I did quick research and it seemed the best option was a USB hub? You are also correct that plugging in/out the cables for my kb/m is causing strain. I really don't want to use 2 sets of kb/m as it will just further clutter my desk

Look at a smaller keyboard size, something like 60% - like the HyperX Alloy Origins 60. I forgot to ask, what is the make and model of your current mechanical keyboard? You could also invest into a keyboard that connects to multiple devices wirelessly.

but I've always had my doubts with contraptions like these(although it's akin to a KVM switch) it's also an USB hub and hubs tend to be hit or miss or worse, cause shorts(for some system's).
