At first I just had a issue that USBtethering was causing huge lagspikes. After hours of searching and many diferent fixes(none of them worked) Ive found a "fix" that made everything worse:

Open Device Manager (right click on Computer > Manage > on the left side, under System Tools choose Device Manager)
Choose the problematic device in Network Adapters (for me it's called HTC Remote NDIS based device)
Right click on it and choose Update Driver Software...
Click Browse my computer for driver software
Click Let me pick from a list of device drivers
Uncheck the box Show compatible hardware
For the manufacturer, choose Microsoft
Now you will have two options:
  • Remote NDIS based Internet Sharing Device
  • Remote NDIS Compatible Device
chose the second one and it solved the problem

But after that when I was trying to enable USbtethering it instantly disconects. The problem is that I dont know how to undo the changes since I cant even select the device when its not conected. I have rebooted my PC/phone multiple times, used different USBport/cable.

Any ideas how to fix this incredibly dumb mistake?

Hi, in device manager at top enable "show hidden devices" , then u can see devices which arent connected, right click on device and uninstall it
