USB to 3.5mm Female Audio Stereo Microphone Adapter

So I just got my Skullcandy Hesh 2.0 headset with the in-line mic only to realize that I can't use the mic on a PC since it uses a single 3.5mm plug for both the audio and mic. I really don't want to return it so I was trying to find an adapter and I found these two..

I'm guessing there are more USB adapters out there but I can't seem to find them, so could anyone recommend an adapter that they have used or at least help me find one with better reviews than these two? It would also be nice if I could spend under 10$ on it.

From what I read on this site: http://www.skullcandy.com/shop/hesh-carbon-red-mic it was designed for an iPhone. I would go with the item on eBay and give it a shot as it is the least expensive alternative. The downside with the item on eBay is the amount of time it will take to arrive. I saw on the Skullcandy site that the mic was for Apple products which is why I made this post. I assumed that the splitter would work but since I'm not in a hurry I just figured that I would post on here and see if someone could give me some more insight. Thanks for the reply!
