USB to Ethernet not working, help please!

My Network Adapter broke so I'm using some USB to Ethernet adapter for my desktop that I picked up for my laptop long ago.

When I plug it in it says:
Ethernet 2, Unidentified Network
Realtek USB FE Family Controller
I can't use the internet with it on my desktop but it works perfectly fine with my laptop. I have the driver installed too. Windows Network Diagnosis said it couldn't find the problem either.

Any help would be highly appreciated, thank you.

Are you using the same cable when you are testing it? Try rebooting the router. Make sure that the device is in Device Manager with no errors. If you installed the drivers from the disk it came with, check online for a newer driver.
