I have used the 'Cable Matters' USB3.0=>HDMI adapters to try and run two additional screens on my Mac Mini. But they seem to cause interrupt conflicts with other USB devices and with each other. What this means in practice is that when you try to restart your computer after shutting down, you often (but not always) get a grey screen with no login. Unplugging the adapters and restarting gets past this, and they work fine if you then hot-plug them in after rebooting. But who wants to do that every time? Cable Matters' support team tried to resolve the problem in various ways but eventually gave up and told me I must have a very rare problem and would I like a refund?
