Does not work with what? Keyboard? Mouse? Have you tried another keyboard/mouse?

Those USB to PS/2 pin-adapters don't magically add support for PS/2 or USB to the device.

The device must support both protocols for the adapter to work, and is usually labelled both USB and PS/2 right on the sticker. A notable exception is Logitech--in order to find out if their USB-wired device will work on PS/2, you have to look it up by model number because only the box is labelled.
