USB to RCA

Solution
android offers a mhl cable, iphone, as you see needs two devices, in the video you see they used a active converter, asking for 5 volts and perhaps 1 amp

you decide what is simpler

you have the details, you decide what to do now, good luck

if your phone has a headphone connector, use a cable like this

https://www.amazon.com/RocketBus-Headphone-3-5mm-White-Stereo/dp/B019ATNOY0/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1497718817&sr=1-2-spons&keywords=RCA+TO+HEADPHONE&psc=1

it is almost 100% guaranteed to work, 99.9% more or less

the usb is more menat for other tasks, and the usb must convert to audio so it would need to be a sound card basically, too much hassle, the simple cable beats it easily, you control music via the smartphone

This is a stab in the dark and might be both costly and not work:

you would likely need a combination of adapters.
First, your phone would likely need to have usb type c or thunderbolt
second, you would need to use adapter to get that to appear as video output
https://www.hypershop.com/products/hyperdrive-usb-type-c-hub-with-4k-hdmi-support
third, you would need to convert said video output to rca
https://www.ebay.com/p/Mini-Composite-1080p-HDMI-to-RCA-Audio-Video-AV-CVBS-Adapter/1273849572?iid=142025801931

That should, in theory, work but as always after chaining multiple adapters together, it just might not.
analog RCA signal is not too common as far as adapters go.

the rca i posted us only for video

the phone can output via usb to hdmi, but you would need to convert hdmi to rca, no cable i know would do that wthout electricity, a active converter would be necesary

output video sounds more like a pita than anything here, only audio is simple, if you need to output video, perhaps you need to change the radio and get one that does what you want to do

you are listing a bunch of converters that might or might not do what you want, or work at all, that is why i mention just use audio and later change the radio

the usb port on the smartphone must be capable of output video in the first place and the usb port to hdmi output is not standard so you do need a specific model supported by your phone

that is why you see people complaining that it didn't worked, many phones will not output hdmi via usb, and if it does, it needs a cable compatible with the usb technology on the smartphone, if you pass those two limitations, it might work, but is a big hassle to make it work as you already can see

if your phone is samsung, and supports mhl, this cable might or might not work

http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-MHL-Micro-USB-to-RCA-HDTV-Adapter-AV-Cable-For-Samsung-Galaxy-S4-S3-S2-MKLG-/252340708843

if your phone is lg, it will not work, you need one supporting lg, if your phone is sony, another cable, huawei another cable...

no standard means no single cable working for every situation

if it is a iphone is even worse

you need this

https://www.apple.com/shop/product/md826am/a/lightning-digital-av-adapter

then a hdmi to rca converter

https://www.walmart.com/ip/5ft-HDMI-Male-to-RCA-Video-Audio-AV-Cable-Adapter-for-PS3-PS4-Xbox-One-Wii-GO/283854812

but we are back to the bunch of cables hoping for the best situation

there is some lightning to rca audio only, haven't found video ones, the lightning to hdmi then hdmi to rca is your only option here afik

lets see if someone has a better idea

this is a video of the thing working
