USB to RCA

I have a RCA input in our car and i want to know what i can use that's is USB to RCA that i can display whats on my phone with i was looking at this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012TV696Q/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3V6BK4D0HKA8F&psc=1 but people said it didnt work. Is there anything i can connect my phone to that can display on the video players in my car?

if your phone has a headphone connector, use a cable like this

it is almost 100% guaranteed to work, 99.9% more or less

the usb is more menat for other tasks, and the usb must convert to audio so it would need to be a sound card basically, too much hassle, the simple cable beats it easily, you control music via the smartphone

yes that wont work because it does the opposite of what you want

This is a stab in the dark and might be both costly and not work:

you would likely need a combination of adapters.
First, your phone would likely need to have usb type c or thunderbolt
second, you would need to use adapter to get that to appear as video output

That should, in theory, work but as always after chaining multiple adapters together, it just might not.

can i use a micro usb to hdmi then get a hdmi to rca?

so is there really nothing i can do to get a video output from my phone to the display? I cant get a lightning to hdmi then hdmi to rca ot lighting to vga then vga to rca?

you are listing a bunch of converters that might or might not do what you want, or work at all, that is why i mention just use audio and later change the radio

the usb port on the smartphone must be capable of output video in the first place and the usb port to hdmi output is not standard so you do need a specific model supported by your phone

that is why you see people complaining that it didn't worked, many phones will not output hdmi via usb, and if it does, it needs a cable compatible with the usb technology on the smartphone, if you pass those two limitations, it might work, but is a big hassle to make it work as you already can see

if your phone is samsung, and supports mhl, this cable might or might not work

Hmmm anything that will work for iPhone 6? And plus it's not a radio I'm connecting to the car is a Mercedes gl450 2011, idk if that will help you in anyway

you say iPhone is more complex, what about android? i d have android devices. And sorry for stressing you

android offers a mhl cable, iphone, as you see needs two devices, in the video you see they used a active converter, asking for 5 volts and perhaps 1 amp
