So, I got this sucker. I wanted something that I could easily hook up a hard drive to copy data with, and not have it on my system full time. Or, to hook up a blu ray drive for the same reason.

So, I just hooked up my ultra HD M-Disc and so far, it's not showing up. like, at all. I know it works, because the blu light shows up on the front, but it won't eject, and does not show up as a drive letter.

first time using one of these cables, so not sure if the issue is me, or I didn't set something up.

from the amazon review.
"While in searching this seemed like a good product until you find out that almost EVERY drive you use is going to require power to it to actually get the information off the drive! BUY AN ENCLOSURE! I could not use this with 4 different hard drives that i had and i even tried using it on drives that wouldnt require a large power source (like laptop drives) and that did not work, complete waste of my money."

Notice that cable says 2.5" disks. It is intended for laptop disks that don't require much power.
There is a different model with a separate power adapter for 3.5 inch disks which might support your bluray disk.
