Which headset type is best suited for best sound quality USB or 3.5mm?

Also do I really need to get an (amp) and (dac) to really get the most out of the headset sound quality or just buy a high quality headset?

Sorry I'm new in this field I have few follow up questions.

has nothing to do with the sound quality.

sound quality comes from the hardware included on the motherboard/soundcard + the software supporting the audio output and the particular device you are listening to paired together.

you could have the most expensive audio software available and if you are listening to audio over a crappy headset or speakers then the quality will still be crap,
and vice versa.

It depends on the actual headset itself. But most high-end headsets use 3.5mm or similar

A DAC is only necessary if you don't have a 3.5mm jack in the first place. An amp is only necessary if the output of whatever 3.5mm jack you have isn't sufficient enough to drive the headset (i.e., it's too quiet)

Both the jack and the usb just use the same amount of cables for the signal, it's the exact same as long as the build quality of both is the same, it's just a one to one connection so nothing is changing.
