I bought a new mini wifi adapter and I really don't know what to do with it or use it thought it was to extend the wifi connection when I'm outside work in shed?
What is it for ?

USB WiFi adapters' purpose is to provide WiWi connectivity to computers who do not have WiF adapters themselves - think desktops, or laptops with broken / old WiFi chip inside.

Some of these adapters have external antennaes, so depending on how far your shed is from the router, and how many walls are in between, it might work.

If Internet connection to the shed is important, and there's direct line of sight with the house, there're Ethernet bridges (two boxes with Ethernet connection at one end, and antennae at the other) to provide the link.
