USB will not recognize connected printer

Hello, i am having an issue with my HP Laserjet 600 M602 printer. It was printing fine last week and now it does not seem to print at all. I have removed the printer software and tried to reinstall it but when the software ask for me to connect the printer (usb) cable it does not recognise the printer at all, like its not connected. Which it is. I am able to use another printer with no issues, which is also a HP printer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
