Usb

Hello,
computer doesnt recognise usb e:\
device manager says it works but that's crap.
it was working then just stopped, there does not appear to be anything wrong
When I put a stick in the usb it makes a sound but will not allow me to open any files, and yes there are some on it.
I have tried doing sysem restore and updateing driver but nothing is working.
Can anyone PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME

Have you tried the USB stick in
1) Another port?
2) Another system?

If this is not the solution, the filesystem on the USB stick may be corrupt. Try a utility like Recuva; you will see a lot of threads that mention them on this forum.

Always have a spare copy of anything that you keep on a USB key; they seem to fail a lot.
