Usb3 motherboard/case compatability

Hello,

I am wanting to build a pc some time in the future, and am confused about some basic things...

If a motherboard has only rear usb 3 ports do i need a usb 3 case ?

If your motherboard does not have a USB 3.0 header it would be pointless buying a case that has USB 3.0 unless your planning to upgrade to a newer motherboard later.

thanks... but if the motherboard has only 2 rear usb3 ports, would i be able to access them without a usb 3 case? only the rear ports....thanks
