Use alcohol prep to clean my laptop screen?

I always clean my laptop screen using a 70% alcohol prep. Will it damage my laptop screen?
My laptop is using a IPS matte panel.
Some people said there are some coating on the screen but I don't think so.
My screen model is auo61ed from AUO

I'd use a damp microfiber cloth. Modern screens use various films that can be harmed with alcohol or window cleaner.

The general rule of thumb is to never use alcohol to clean your laptop's screen or even your HDTV screen. Alcohol is a solvent which means it can strip away a protective coating. Also avoid using anything with ammonia (like Windex).
