I was wondering if anyone knows if I can use the DVD port (sata) from a hp laptop (HP 2000) with external USB ports. Let me xplain better.
I have a laptop that has three usb ports. all three are physically broken. THE DVD drive still works fine, so I thought I may be able to use an adapter to go from sata to USB to add a usb port or two to this laptop.
I know it's a strange question, but I thought if it goes from usb to sata, maybe it can go the other way. I don't think I can, but I can't find another motherboard and I need to try to continue using it because of Proprietary software.
