Question Use new M1 iMac as external display for a Windows laptop ?

As per the title, can the new M1 chip iMacs be used as an external display over thunderbolt on a Windows laptop?

Wanting to get the iMac for a study/office pc for my partner and her work issued laptop is of course a windows, but it has the capabilities to be docked for external display use so it is equipped with a thunderbolt port.
