I have the Antec VP450P and i going to use it to power a "rx580 (or) rx570"(still not available in my region) the question is my PSU has 2 12v rails of 18A and Total Amps of 30 but it comes with a single 6pin PCIE so what adapter is best suited a single 6pin to 8pin or "2xmolex to 6pin then 2x6pin to 8pin" which is best? I'm not sure whether the single 6pin will give more than 75Watts. If it does please tell me.
I used this review for reference of my PSU check it out.

RX 580 recommended psu is 500W, your is only 450W.

For RX 570 you could use:
sata power to PCIE 6 pin adapter + 2x 6pin PCIE to 8pin PCIE adapter.

How much watts can sata produce, i heard that single molex can give 40 watts

If you get an RX470, instead of a 570, [strike]most[/strike] *updated* some cards will simply use a 6 Pin and you're good to go with your current PSU. You will be sacrificing maybe 5% or so performance, but the 570 is a just an overclocked version, so I'm not sure it's really worthwhile personally. Some of the RX580 cards are pushed pretty hard and can draw quite a bit of power. I don't think that's a good idea on your PSU personally.

If you're prepared to take the risk on adapter cables, stick with the PCIe 6 pin adapter (so get a 6 pin to 8 pin adapter). There's actually quite a lot of headroom in those 6 pin cables and they **should** handle a good chunk over their rating. At least there's much less risk doing so on that connector.
Still - to be clear - my advice is EITHER:
a) upgrade your PSU and then get whatever GPU you like OR
b) just get a 6 pin compatible RX470.

Sorry there is no room for PSU upgrade since a quality PSU in India is costly about 5 to 6K INR
I cannot get the RX 470 as you said since it is overpriced and also not available whereas the 570 is cheaper and available(stupid market) currently, I'm just waiting for RX 580 4GB with single 8pin*(Base model not high end).
Are you sure that my psu will provide more than 75 watts from the 6pin pcie (it has 3 yellow wires) so i can use a single 6pin to 8pin to power the RX 570 or RX 580 (or) the 2xmolex to 6pin then 8pin would do it better.
UPDATE: I think my PSU can handle or if not i can undervolt until i get a quality PSU

What's the rest of your build (especially CPU). It's not overclocked is it?

No - I'm not at all sure that your PSU will be fine with an RX580 and hopefully my first post made that clear. Technically with an efficient CPU it **should** be OK, and your PSU is at least decent quality which helps, but you are pushing things further than most people would be comfortable and that does raise your risk. If you're running a hungry CPU like an FX 8370 or something, I'd suggest that risk is fairly high indeed.

Just a month ago a mate of mine blew his old PSU (650W) with an OC'd CPU and hungry GPU, it took out his motherboard and he had to do a full upgrade that cost him hundreds of dollars. He was unlucky, hopefully you're not, but the risk is there.

However, if you choose to go ahead, then I am very confident that you are better with a 6 Pin to 8 Pin than messing with molex or SATA to 8 pin adapters. The 6 Pin will be on a different rail to your CPU power, and as I said previously, those 6 pin connectors have headroom and are designed for high current. Taking this risk involves going out of spec, but you're betting doing that on a 6 pin than anywhere else.

My config is
i5 3570k (Not OC)
Z77 Mobo
2xCorsair Vengeance DDR3 4GB 1600 Mhz(DIMM)
1x7.2k HDD

I asked a "pro" about the 12v rail distribution so i can utilize maximum out of my PSU
See the last comment in the thread:
http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2522219/amps-antec-450-12v-rail.html
Without knowing the rail distribution i might overload a particular rail.

Well an Intel i5 at stock certainly helps. You should be within spec on the PSU, but pushing things pretty close.

RE the two rails, the HardwareSecrets review suggests that the ATX connector (for mobo) and EPS connector (for additional CPU power) are together on a single rail, with all other cables coming off the second 12V Rail: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/antec-vp450-power-supply-review/6/
That makes sense, because the CPU & GPU are by far the most power hungry components in any PC (excluding some wacky non-standard build). So a dual rail PSU with a single PCIe power plug will certainly put those components on opposite rails.

I stand by my suggestion, if you are prepared to do this, use a single 6 pin to 8 pin adapter.

Thanks mate but i think my PSU is VP450P (FSP) whereas the VP450 from the review is Delta. Correct me if i'm wrong.
Distribution lines in the reviewed structure is as follows:
12V1A: connector ATX connector ATX12V / EPS12 V, connectors Molex / SATA
12V2: PCI-Express 6-pin
From this : http://pccentre.pl/article/show/antec-vp450p/id=17822; *(In page 3) *(Use Google Translate)
I don't know which is correct so guide me in this but it still suggests the same right **(single 6pin to 8pin).

Right, okay. I'm not 100% sure. But, CPU & GPU usually account for 80% of system load, it would be ludicrous to put them on the same rail on a dual rail PSU design. They must be on separate rails... so 6 pin to 8 pin is the way to go.

I hope my 6pin pcie gives out more than 120 Watts or i will burn my pcie slot in mobo (this sucks) :??:
Anyways thanks mate.

Don't worry, that's not how it works. The card has VRMs connected to specific inputs. So it will only draw up to 75W through the PCIe slot, with everything else coming through the 8 Pin. Early RX 480s actually exceeded the PCIe spec by a little and AMD got slammed in the tech press for it and quickly addressed it with a BIOS update.
The two areas where you are pushing the specs is the current on the 6 pin cable, and the power on the 12V Rail which that 6 pin comes from. I'd be very surprised if the cable has issues, because actually an 8 Pin cable doesn't include other active wires. Technically you should still be within spec on that rail too, though it's pushing harder than many would be comfortable with. Regularly check that you PSU never gets clogged with dust and has plenty of airflow.

Does this works?
I am currently in same situation, but my wishlist is sapphire rx570 pulse edition which consume 180w.
It really depends on the quality of your PSU, It worked fine for me until i changed my PSU to a decent Seasonic 620W. Kindly mention your PSU and system specs for more info.

Nothing has changed in two years. Will work, but there's a significant risk attached when a PSU can't squeeze more than 360W from the +12V rails and it's entry-level quality.
Asus p7-h55-mlx/usb3
i3 540
2 hdd
8gb ram
Antec vp450
I already bought Sapphire rx570 4gb pulse edition. because this the only one currently on sell in our country (159$).
And now i am using it with 6pin to 8pin converter.

NEVER do this!!

2x6-pin to 1x8-pin is fine.

1x6-pin to 1x8-pin is dangerous.

Molex to PCIe adapters are also dangerous.

You run the risk of damage to your system, or fire.

Replace the power supply with a high-quality unit that provides enough power AND has the appropriate connectors.

Which has a risk.
What kind off risk?
Also after i install it on my pc feels little bit slow on operating system+bios settings. Is that for limited power watts free from my psu?
Also i get lag on NFS payback 33fps to drop down to 20fps+. Graphic settings was 1080p & effect set to Automatic.
I think it's because of my processor bottlenecking it.

Please suggest me some minimum processor (i don't mind old gen) update model?

Each pin in a pcie 6pin has a 5A max rating, and thats not negotiable. At 12v x 5A with 2x 12vDC leads, that's 120w total. 75w is the standard accepted wattage because there's no guarantee you'll actually get the 120w, a lot depends on the actual leads, if they are 18Ga not 20Ga like some psus use, or if the pin is actually 5A and not a substandard 4A etc. So 75w is safe for a 6pin. An 8pin carries 3x 12vDC leads, that's 180w max, but a realistic limit of 150w.

Sata is rated at 4.5A total for 12vDC, that's 54w, and NOT to be used to adapter a 6pin pcie or you WILL melt something, guaranteed.

It takes 2x 6pin to equal 1x 8pin. Not negotiable.

The VP450 is a low end (bottom of the pile) unit and not rated to handle a Rx580 that'll pull almost 200w by itself, of which 130w or so is from the pcie.

If you want a Rx580, you'll need to upgrade psu, no ifs or adapters. Your best option is a gtx1060 6Gb, it's equitable to the Rx580 at half the power draw and will run on that VP, no adapters needed.
