Hello all,

Yesterday I finished my first build. It's working fine and I did a lot of research before purchasing any hardware. Except for the fact that I bought two fans rather mindlessly: two Corsair SP120 RGB's. They are currently plugged into my B450 Tomahawk Max via the two RGB header this motherboard has (12v - r - g - b). Both the fans spin, but only one actually lights up and it's also only showing one colour. I really don't mind that one fan isn't showing any light. It's spinning, which is more of a priority to me. I do find it a bit weird though, since I'm sure it's plugged into the RGB header on my motherboard, but okay.

I was doing some searches on the internet about this and I stumbled upon a thread on Reddit in which someone warned to NOT plug RGB fans directly onto your motherboard RGB-headers: https://www.reddit.com/r/Corsair/comments/8tzmhf View: https://www.reddit.com/r/Corsair/comments/8tzmhf/psa_do_not_connect_rgb_fans_to_mobo_rgb_headers/

I'm a bit of a noob as this is the first build I did myself, so I'm a bit insecure about this. As I mentioned earlier, I can live with one fan not giving any light, but the reddit-thread worried me a little. Would it be better to just take out the RGB-plugs on my motherboard?

Thanks.
