Use Samsung UE590 Monitor as TV

I am looking to purchase the Samsung UE590 4k Monitor and use it as both my monitor and a TV. I have a Verizon FiOS box with an HDMI cable, so I know I can use one of the HDMI ports on the monitor for TV. Since the monitor does not have built-in speakers, is there a way I can have the TV sound play through my computer speakers? There is a 3.5mm audio jack on the monitor and I have Logitech 5.1 speakers. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

were are your speakers currently plugged into?

If you have the Z906/Z506 you can just get a 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio jack cable from the monitor to the Z906/Z506 subwoofer (green ring around it). Doing this you need to make sure there is a sound passthrough on the HDMI cable, otherwise no sound will be coming from the 3.5mm headphone jack on the monitor.

The speakers do have the subwoofer that I can plug the 3.5mm audio jack cable. That should work. Thank you very much!
