Hello all, this is my first post here!!

I am looking at buying this used system, according to the owner it is one year old, processor has never been overclocked. I am new to all this, this would be my first custom pc purchase ever, but I have a more than average knowledge when it comes to putting together a PC.

I will mainly use it for computational fluid dynamics and playing FSX, so I will more than likely overclock it and bump the ram to at least 24GB.

Seller is asking for 900 euros with all receipts and warranties. I am going to check it out tomorrow. Is this a good deal? What should I look for when looking at it tomorow ?

Thanks

Solution
Just run some bechmarks on it. Harder the better. And look all settings in bios.
Is memory really working on 1600MHz. And How much OC it can take.
4.6-4.8GHz is good. And look how much CPU needs voltage to do that.

It looks like good deal if it works :) Id look R9 290 video card. Cheaper and faster than GTX 770.

New R9 290 with better coolers will come out soon.

Now price is about 330 € so maybe 350 € you can get new better cooler versions..?
This do have + BF4

Edit...
Is there two or 4 sticks memory? 2011 use quad memory controller so best is have four sticks.
GTX 570 is not maybe best for build like that. But if you want to upgrade memory if you need and video card than it is looking good. I did pay my 3930k 300 € (used)
New 4930k is near 500€ price.

If you sell 570 and memory and buy better ones loke R9 290 or GTX 770 780 (ti)
Or if you have two sticks memory buy two more.

It is not bad price for build like that. I did see one same kind build with titan and price was over 1500€
Memory you can bump up to 16 or 32 /64GB not 24GB. Four or 8 sticks for 2011 build.
Or why not 8+8+4+4 = 24. But it is better with same size memory. I have 8+4+2+2. but it is not best way to do it :)

There are 4 memory sticks. I might upgrade the video card to a 770 whenever I have the money, however for now memory is a priority. I did a quick search a used 570 sells for about 100ish euros. So if I were to upgrade to a 770 and add up to 32GB of RAM, you still think that is a good deal ?

And in terms of the shape of the computer, is there anything specific I should be looking at to see if there is potentially something wrong with the computer? I never bought a used computer so I may be a little to wary.

Edit. Remeber that you need windows pro / Ultimate 64Bit to run more than 16GB ram :)
