I'm looking to upgrade my laptop to a gaming PC and I've been looking into actually building the PC but I seen someone selling the Alienware Aurora and I was wondering if its a good deal for the price or I should just build one for the same price.

its preatty decent.You can build something with better preformance in gmaes for the same price since you can put a gtx 970/r9 390 and an i5 in for the same price

how big would the gap be in performance and what would I be expecting for games like ARK, Fallout, and etc.

a 970 is about 30% faster than the 770

He doset have any specs stated so i cant know for sure but mobile graphics card are generally one step down from their desktop counterparts (eg. a 980m preforms a bit worse than a 970) so building your own pc is probably still the better option
