Used FX6300 compatibility question

Hello there I have found a fx6300 for a damn cheap price, will it be compatible with Asus M5A78L M LE? And any sort of guide to checkout before buying? Its still under warranty as seller claims it still has 2yr month warranty left.

If you have bios version 1301 or newer you are okay if not you will need to update the bios first. A guide for what? How to install it?

I have 1601 And what should i look out before handing the seller the cash?
A guide for safe buying a cpu which has been used ($140new and I am getting for 78.50)

I have 1601 And what should i look out before handind the seller the cash?

Where are you buying it from craigslist or something? Post a link and i will check it out. If your going to be getting it in person just make sure it says AMD FX on the top of the chip it will look like this below except it will say "6300" were it says "8350" on that chip. Also look at the back of the chip and make sure none of the pins are bent.
