I just got a brand new Acer desktop for free which has an i5 7400 cpu and 8gb of ram. I'd like to buy a nice used gpu to pop in this computer so I can use it for 1080p 144mhz gaming. I have a nice 500w psu that I can use for this computer as well. After endless reading and research (the last gaming computer I had was back when diablo 3 first came out - that consisted of a $300 pre-built gateway refurb desktop and a $150 slim gpu) I am thinking about a used GTX 1070 ti. I see the Zotac mini version going for no more than $250 used on eBay. I feel like this is kind of the best bang for your buck in the used market for this price range. At first my plan was to throw a used RX 580 8gb in this desktop. Those go for about $100 used on eBay, but I have some extra money and feel like spending an extra $150 for a 1070 ti is totally worth it. Thoughts?
